Topic:

The Unknown Child

DNA genetic testing services like Ancestry and 23andMe are providing individuals and families with unprecedented levels of access to personal genome.  Although these services peak our curiosity, they also have the potential to be extremely disruptive. Learning about an unknown child, especially after a loved one has passed, can erode family trust and harmony; it also raises some interesting estate planning issues.  Join trust and estate litigator Scott Rahn of RMO LLP as he imparts specific strategies that trusted advisors can consider for managing the practical and emotional side of this sensitive issue.

Speaker:

Scott Rahn

Founding and Managing Partner of RMO LLP

A seasoned “big firm” litigator, Scott focuses on four specific areas of litigation: (1) representing beneficiaries, professional and corporate fiduciaries in contested trust, estate and probate litigation matters, as well as related estate administration issues (2) representing individual and institutional investors and financial institutions in investment fraud investigations and securities litigation (3) representing financial industry employees in employment litigation and investigations, CRD expungement matters, registration and reporting disputes, and regulatory/enforcement/white collar investigations (4) and business litigation
